Having won more than 10 consecutive Top Innovative Practice Awards, Southern Nuclear is a recognized industry leader in nuclear fuel innovation, having been the first to deploy Accident Tolerant Fuels.
The company also reached a historic milestone for the industry and the country with announcement of Plant Vogtle Units 3 & 4 coming online. These units are the first newly constructed nuclear units to achieve commercial operation in the United States in 30 years. The addition of Units 3 & 4 makes Plant Vogtle the largest generator of clean energy in the country.
