Matthew Busch

Site Vice President of Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Power Plant

Matt Busch became Site Vice President of Plant Hatch in December 2023, after serving as Operations Director at the site for over three years.

Prior to joining Southern Nuclear, Matt served as Maintenance Director at Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, where he earned his Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license. With more than 25 years in the nuclear industry, he has gained experience in design engineering and performance recovery strategies.

Matt served in the United States Navy as both a Surface Nuclear Power Division Officer and a qualified Navy Engineering Duty Officer. He earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from Washington State University.
