Patrick Martino

Site Vice President of Alvin W. Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Units 3 & 4

Patrick Martino is the site vice president of Vogtle Units 3&4, a position he assumed in 2022. 

Patrick joined Southern Nuclear in 2019 as plant manager for Vogtle 3 & 4 and led the site through the completion of many significant milestones and the transition from construction to operations, while ensuring high levels of performance within the operational readiness organizations at the site. 

Prior to joining Southern Nuclear, Patrick worked at Salem Nuclear Power Plant, where he served as plant manager. During his 19 years at Salem, he held a number of leadership positions, including operations director and maintenance director, and earned a senior reactor operator license in 2002.

Patrick is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in marine engineering systems and minored in nuclear engineering. Upon graduation, he worked at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory through the Navy’s Nuclear Power Program and served in various leadership roles, including the oversight of testing, training and maintenance. In parallel, he served in the Merchant Marine and United States Naval Reserves for 10 years.
